Arthur’s Stone is a Neolithic burial chamber with a narrow entrance passageway. It is a multi-chambered tomb which probably dates to the period 3400-2400 BC. It is about 22m in length and would have originally been covered with an earth mound. Part of the roof has collapsed and in 1900 one of the leaning stones was replaced. Two of the stones may be what remains of a trilithon (two stones that support a third). A large stone located nearby is thought to belong to the same structure.
