This beautiful piece of Jacobean architecture represents one of the last buildings to be constructed in this style. It was built between 1618 and 1635 for a wealthy landowner Sir Thomas Holte. The house was damaged by attacks from the Parliamentarian Troops in the Civil War, but was well restored and now offers a beautiful place for visitors to experience a slice of old England.
