The Battle Trail is a waymarked 1.5-mile trail around the battlefield of the Battle of Tewkesbury, one of the defining battles of the War of the Roses. The 1471 clash between the House of York and the House of Lancaster saw the death of 2000 soldiers, including Edward, Prince of Wales, who was just 18 years old. A trail leaflet is available from Tewkesbury Tourist Office, which includes a map and an account of the battle.
