Over 500 birds live in Birdand’s seven acres of gardens and parks. This natural habitat is home to flamingos, pelicans, penguins, cranes, storks, cassowary, and waterfowl. In addition, over 50 aviaries house parrots, falcons, pheasants, hornbills, pigeons and ibis, with the more delicate species living in the Desert and Toucan Houses. Birdland is also home to a King penguin, one of the only two in captivity in the UK. Birds of Prey Encounter Days are held throughout the summer.
