This excellent museum at the heart of the city centre was opened in 1885, and stands in a good looking museum that is filled with pieces that relate to both the history and development of Birmingham and the surrounding areas. There is a large collection on offer that includes artefacts, paintings, documents, maps and many other pieces that help tell the story of the city.
