St Barnabas was built in the 19th Century, but, as a place of worship, the site dates back to the 5th Century. The churchyard, which forms the centrepiece of this picturesque hilltop village, appeared in the hit film, Bridget Jones, when it was seen covered with snow, which as the village name suggests, it often is. On this occasion though, the snow was artificial as filming took place in July.
