The Church of St Edmund King and Martyr is medieval and dates from 1120. It was restored and the present tower built in the Nineteenth century. However many of the original old Norman features remain, including three windows and several doorways and archways. St. Edmund’s is a well-loved village church with a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere and regular Sunday services. There are some extremely fine stained glass windows. It is also of importance for its Romanesque sculpture.
