There has been a church in the little village of Beckford for at least nine hundred years. The Doomsday Survey of 1086 says that 'a church is there' but no records of that ancient building remain. The church as it is seen today is a Grade 2 listed building, over 600 years old, built around 1360. The church has a magnificent bell tower with a peal of twelve bells. The church has many fine stained glass windows, including the very large west window. The church is open to visitors during daylight hours.
