The Courtyard Theatre in Hereford opened in 1998, replacing the city’s earlier theatre. The building itself is striking, being fronted in glass. Inside it contains The Main House, modelled on a Jacobean-style courtyard theatre with seating for 400 on three sides. There is a Studio Theatre, Meeting Rooms and a Gallery, where artists can display their work, with the Courtyard committed to developing a visual arts programme. A café and bar are also available onsite.
