Creswell Crags is a gorge in the Midlands that has revealed a number of caves. Archaeologists investigating these caves found a number of stone tools and animal remains indicating that the caves were once home to Ice Age man. There have also been discoveries of Ice Age rock art, the only known example in Britain. There are tours of the caves, suggested walks, a shop and education centre. Sensible footwear is recommended.
