Winchcombe’s most picturesque terrace was built for Lady Emma Dent of Sudeley Castle. Dent’s Terrace is a row of almshouses with gabled porches and pretty front gardens. They were built in 1865 by George Gilbert Scott, who also built the School House in the town. Note the multi-colored stonework – an unusual feature. The beautiful iron gate and railings were made more recently, by local Blacksmiths at Acorn Smithy in Didbrook.
