This extraordinary Cistercian Abbey, built in the Twelfth century is still a Parish Church today with a vibrant schedule of services, concerts, exhibitions and guided tours. Not to be missed for its amazing architecture, seventeenth century musicians' gallery, wall paintings and stone carvings, including a celebrated one of the Green Man. The original twelve foot stone altar slab was returned to the abbey after being used for making cheese in a local farm. It is open every day from 9.00 a.m. to dusk, with guidebooks for sale.
