Discover what life was really like in Gloucester over the last 500 years. On display is local history, home life, crafts, trades and industries. Children should enjoy the toys gallery and the Victorian classroom. The museum is housed in an appealing mass of Tudor and Jacobean timber-framing, with a cottage garden and a courtyard to the rear. Around the courtyard a dairy, ironmonger’s shop and wheelwright and carpenter workshops have been reconstructed.
