Chipping Campden has been called the most beautiful village in England, and it owes much of its picturesque charm to the High Street. A typical planned medieval main street, its tightly packed stone houses front long narrow plots. With colours from cream to dark brown, all with a touch of gold, they are best seen aglow on a sunny day. Parts of the High Street appeared in the film, Crush, starring Andie MacDowell, which was filmed in Chipping Campden.
