The National Trust acquired this ruined abbey in 1949. It is thought that the earliest part of the abbey was constructed in the 12th Century. Part of the Norman Hall still remains and there is evidence of early Renaissance decoration throughout the ruins. The abbey sits in a wonderful position, surrounded by greenery.
