The Lace Guild celebrates a grand heritage of lacemaking and manufacture in this country over a period of many centuries. The lace industry was important in the 18th and 19th Century, and although no longer in operation as it once was, the centre illustrates the great impact that the industry had on communities that still lasts today. There are many fine displays to browse through.
