This East Midlands university dates back to 1909 and has an expansive campus covering approximately two square kilometres. It has a strong sporting emphasis borne out in a centre of excellence for the study of sports science. The Students’ Union naturally therefore has many sporting clubs, but also organises many other activities, including hosting concerts for touring bands.
