This small Gilbertine monastery would have been constructed in 1185 and was founded by six cannons. At one point this would have been one of the most important religious buildings in the area. Sadly however, the building fell into disrepair after the monasteries were destroyed by Henry VIII and only the remains are still in place. It is still however a good example of architecture of the time.
