The Midland Railway Centre is a museum that is dedicated to the history of the railway network in this area and across the country. Of course before the Beaching Axe, there were far more railways than there are today, and the series of exhibitions here look at the way that the country and region has changed since that time, and how people relied more on the railways before the 1960s.
