There’s plenty to enjoy at the Forest Model Village including a free quiz, model railway and children’s play area. The project, which opened in 2004, includes dozens of vignettes all contained within this pretty, shaded spot of the Royal Forest of Dean. The six-inch tall figures – each one wittily crafted – go about their daily lives against a setting of one twelfth scale buildings, all familiar landscapes of the area. There’s a garden café on site and various events throughout the year with night time illuminations during the autumn.
