The Regency village of Montpellier in Cheltenham is as chic and fashionable today as it was 150 years ago, with its specialist shops, fine restaurants, cafés, gardens and elegant buildings. Built in 1825, this is just one of its many terraces of fine Regency houses. Number 91 is the birthplace of Edward Wilson, the doctor and arctic explorer, who died in 1912 with Captain Scott on the infamous expedition to the South Pole.
