The Newark Air Museum is one of the best aviation collections in the area, and is home to a massive collection of pieces that come from well over a century of history in flight. Of the aircraft on display, some are on the National Aviation Heritage Register, including 10 National Benchmark aircraft; 29 Significant aircraft and 18 Noteworthy aircraft. Covering civilian and wartime flight, this collection is one of the best in the nation.
