The University of Nottingham Manuscripts & Special Collections form an important research and teaching archive at the institution and have been opened to the public. There are in total well over three million pieces, largely documents, pamphlets, maps and drawings. The eclectic collection includes original works by DH Lawrence and Portland of Welbeck.
