Abbot’s Court, Deerhurst, Gloucestershire GL19 4DB - England, UK

Map
This chapel represents one of the oldest surviving Saxon churches in the whole country. It was built by Earl Odda in 1056 and was lost to the world for many centuries after being subsumed into a farmhouse, eventually being re-discovered in 1865. The property displays some fascinating examples of Saxon holy architecture and is well preserved and maintained by English Heritage.
