The Derbyshire lead miner is a forgotten hero of the community, once risking his life and limb to extract the valuable resource from deep beneath these beautiful rolling hills. This museum attempts to bring to life the existence of a miner who worked here, showing the harsh and dangerous conditions in which he would have worked, and charting the history of mining that these twisted tunnels have kept for thousands of years.
