Poole’s Cavern is a two million year old natural limestone cave situated in some of the most impressive woodland on the edge of the tow of Buxton. The area has been inhabited for over five thousand years and the Neolithic tribes would have once used these chambers as a place to shelter and hide from attackers. The cave is regarded by many as ‘The First Wonder of the Peak District’.
