The Severn Valley Railway runs regular steam services through this beautiful area of countryside and allows visitors the rare chance in this country to travel on a standard gauge steam railway. The railway was the main transport service for the local communities from 1862 until its closure in 1963. However the formation of a heritage society in Kidderminster has seen the service open for tourists and enthusiasts again to the delights of many.
