St James’s Church
Staunton, Gloucestershire GL19 3QS - England, UK

Map
The church in Staunton, dedicated to St James, was built in Norman times with substantial rebuilding during the 14th Century, including the tower, spire and nave. Victorian stained glass in the East and West windows dates from the latter half of the 19th Century when the church was restored. There’s an interesting memorial – the lady depicted here was a close relative of Dick Whittington. The font is said to be formed from a Roman altar.
