St John the Baptist's Church in South Croxton is built at the top of a hill, where it can be seen from miles around. This 14th Century building is made of ironstone which has been heavily weathered over the years, giving it a rustic look. The church tower contains gargoyles facing in each direction, while the interior of the church has a Romanesque font. A moat exists a little to the north of this church.
