On entering the church of St Lawrence probably the first thing you’ll notice is the pronounced outward lean of the 13th Century South arcade. The screen was altered by the Victorians but the carvings of dragons and vines are original 15th Century. The screen, like the choir stalls, is believed to have come from Wormsley Priory; the stalls have some curious carvings including two bishops between monkeys! The first-rate misericords show a badge of Richard II, dating them to the late 1300s.
