St Mary’s Church in Dymock is mostly Norman, and has a sculptured Norman doorway, the work of the Dymock School of sculpture. Above the door there is a tympanum depicting the tree of life. Two Holy water stoups rest on a 13th Century stone coffin lid and a lovely annunciation window is 14th Century Flemish. The turned oak font dates from around 1600, and a consecration cross is cut into the stone near the door. In a corner is a display, dedicated to the famous Dymock poets.
