St Mary’s is the oldest parish in Nottingham and is mentioned in the Domesday Book, believed to have a heritage that dates back to Saxon times. The majority of the present building dates from the end of the reign of Edward III in 1377 to that of Henry VII in the late 1480s. The nave is one of the most noteworthy features of the impressive church that has a real uniformity in style. There is a small graveyard and grounds to be explored around the building.
