The tiny church dedicated to St Michael was restored in 1925 but was originally a Norman structure and retains the Norman doorway and two chancel windows with modern pictures of St George and St Michael. The early, circular font is very unusual and appears to be a Norman reworking of a Roman column, perhaps not altogether surprising as Kenchester was once the Roman station and town of Magna. The church has a wide timber chancel arch, carved with vines and a 600-year-old bell.
