This Twelfth century church is built of pink sandstone and has a distinctive timber bell turret. It is important for the significant amount of Romanesque sculpture to be found within. There is also a particularly beautiful western stained glass window showing the Transfiguration. Christ is pictured in the central window, with Moses and St Peter on either side of him. An angelic messenger hovers above, delivering the words, “this is my beloved son, hear ye him.” There is also an amazingly colourful St. Michael, with turquoise wings and a flaming sword.
