St Peter’s Church in Kinver sits high above the village on the side of Kinver Edge. It has been added to, and enlarged, over seven centuries. Much of the present church dates back to the 14th Century but some remains of a large Norman nave are visible. Inside, visitors can see the beautiful Victorian east window, an unusual 14th Century font and a Jacobean pulpit. In the Foley chapel, there is the mutilated effigy of one of Henry VI’s courtiers while the Grey chapel contains a tomb chest with brasses commemorating the Grey family.
