Stroud House Gallery opened to the public in 1998 with an aim to allow a wider audience to enjoy contemporary artworks of varying genres. Most exhibits are shown in one of the five rooms of the gallery for between four and six weeks, with around a weeks break in-between for a changeover. The gallery is also involved in several outreach programmes to encourage art in the local community and across Gloucestershire.
