Stroud’s Subscription Rooms are as central to community life today as they were in 1833 when they were built with money raised from public subscriptions. This handsome Regency building now hosts community and regional events throughout the year. They include exhibitions, concerts, both classical and pop, dances and also the Cotswold International Film Festival. The Subscription Rooms are owned and run by Stroud District Council and the building also houses the District Tourist Office.
