First opened in 1928, Sywell Aerodrome is situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Sywell in Northamptonshire. The airfield is regularly used by small private planes and helicopters as well as for microlight training while the on-site museum charts the illustrious history which includes war-time artifacts. The original terminal building and RAF facilities used during World War Two have been made into a hotel and restaurant. Various air shows and flying competitions are held throughout the year.
