Tamworth Castle is a fantastic example of a Norman motte and bailey fortification. In later times a great many additions have been made to the structure, including apartments from medieval and Victorian times added. The castle reputedly has a resident ghost, the White and Black Lady, that creeps through the building at night. There are lots of activities to get involved with for all the family here, including brass rubbing, dressing up and art projects.
