The Bonded Warehouse stands as a reminder of the prosperity brought by the canals. Built of brick at the same time as the town arm of Thomas Dadford’s Stourbridge Canal in 1779, the original building only acquired its top storey in 1849. Standing on the wharf right alongside the canal, the warehouse was used by the canal company to store goods before duty was paid on them. Today, a number of function rooms are available for hire, providing the venue for a variety of activities, including open weekends and concerts.
