This community museum has been operating since 1986 and carries an extensive range of local history artefacts and documents. One of the central collections at the museum is based around the oral history and collects together stories from the past, some written, and some reordered that chart the way that ordinary lives have changed. There is also a large archaeology collection and extensive coin exhibit.
