The tithe barn at Ashleworth was erected during the 15th Century. Built by Abbot Newland, it is of a limestone construction and measures 125 feet long by 25 feet wide. It has a stone slate tile roof with queen post roof trusses, diagonal buttresses and two huge projecting porches with wooden lintels. Today the tithe barn is part of a working farm and is in the care of the National Trust. It’s open from April to October except Good Friday and at other times by appointment.
