This 17th Century building is home to social history and archeology collections. Both show the history of Tewkesbury from prehistory to the 20th century. Highlights include a model of the Battle of Tewkesbury, and also one of a medieval fairground. A E Salt, a retired marine engineer, built the fairground model in the 1950s and sold it the museum in 1958. Hands-on exhibits include medieval games, quizzes, colouring sheets and dressing-up clothes. Lectures are held throughout the year. The museum was founded in 1962.
