Winchcombe Pottery is one of the oldest craft potteries in the UK. Potters and ceramicists have worked here on and off since the early 19th Century. In 1926, Michael Cardew reopened the then abandoned pottery. Since then, other potters have worked here, many well known. Their groundbreaking work has given the pottery an international reputation, with pieces being collected worldwide. A shop on site sells the well-made but practical pots and kitchenware for which the pottery is famous.
