This heritage centre is designed to give a great day out to the casual visitor as well as the serious researcher. One is invited to understand the workings of a small town throughout history with reference to many original artefacts and reconstructions. There are several differently themed exhibitions including one dedicated to the railways, one to mining and a more general collection of artefacts on the top floor.
