Thomas Foley built Witley Court in 1655 on the former site of a mediaeval manor house. John Nash designed subsequent additions in the early 1800s and the Dudley family subsequently bought the Court in 1837. The gardens were landscaped by William Nesfield and contain a fine Perseus and Andromeda fountain.
