At 1,073 feet above sea level Dalwhinnie, Gaelic for "the meeting place", is the highest distillery in Scotland. From the snow-fed waters of All tan t'Sluic comes a full-bodied, smooth and warming speyside malt whisky, one of the 'classic malts' range. Despite major refurbishments the distillery continues to use worm tubs to cool the fresh spirit from the still. The Visitor Centre and shop provides information about the village, its people and its history as well as the distillery.
