Set overlooking golden Sango Bay and within sight of the most north-westerly tip of mainland Scotland, Cape Wrath, Durness Visitor Centre is hard to beat for visual appeal. A geological standing stone exhibit outside the centre highlights the North West Highlands importance as Scotland’s first European Geopark. Inside, the centre has several comprehensive exhibits, covering crofting, natural history and local customs and culture. They really bring to life the hardships and experiences of the community over the years. The centre also has a wide range of leaflets and information on the many local attractions.
