One of Scotland’s most photographed castles, Eilean Donan is located on the main tourist route to the Isle of Skye. The island on which the castle stands has been fortified for 800 years but the castle visitors see today was rebuilt between 1912 and 1932. Almost every part of the castle is on view from the banqueting hall to the bedrooms. Eilean Donan is a favourite film location, having featured in Highlander and the James Bond film The World is Not Enough.
