Considered by many to be Scotland’s finest glen, Glen Affric extends westwards from near the Inverness-shire village of Cannich into some very remote country. A single track road serves the first half of the glen which is in many ways the most scenic part as it is heavily wooded. The glen is home to a large remnant of native Scots Pine which once covered much of the country. Wildlife includes fox, red deer, pine marten, red deer and the majestic golden eagle.
